Everyone wants to be healthy and strong, everyone wants to be a couch potato.
It's a rebellion from the couch(chair).
It's a combat between you and furniture.
It's more a battle between you and yourself.
First one is a Noisy Chair. Chair is usually seen as a piece of furniture for people to have a rest. I want to change this trait.
This chair involves several elements: Arduino UNO with wifi module(or you can use Arduino Yún), flex sensor(it could detect whether you are sitting on the chair and may could calculate how long you have sit on the chair), music module(it makes sound!), Withings API(Withings is an app which could tract your daily exercise and could tell how many calories you have consumed everyday, you could also use API of Nike plus, Fitbit or Apple health).
As Arduino could grab the data through Withings API, so it would have two different statuses depends on the result it returned. If you have met your daily goal, it would be a normal chair. If not, the chair would make noises to disturb you having a good rest.
The second one is also a chair, but seems more rebellious, I call it a Thorn Chair. Similar to the chair mentioned just now, if you failed to achieve your goal, the thorn would pop out to prevent you from sitting.
(This might require 16-servo controller. )
The third chair is a Fire Chair that would force you to stand up. Apple Watch would give a tap on your wrist to make you stand up. I just assumed what if the chair would warm up by calculating the time you have sat on it, so maybe after one hour, you have to leave the chair for it gets hot and make you uncomfortable. I don’t how to make it but I do find some conductive silks, which could be used for this interesting chair.
I also come up with a Naughty Front Camera which could connect to the internet and would show a fatter version of you if you didn’t meet your daily goal.
Another one is a digital Photo Frame. The photo in the frame could be your desired boy or girl. If the frame detects that the daily goal is not met, the photo would be blurred or faded, which conveys the meaning that you might lose them if you don’t keep fit. So, move more to get him/her!
